Wales and the West Show2010 2010 was another fantastic show for us, we all had lots of fun and with less horses to concentrate on it gave us all more breathing space between classes! Entries ranged from about 55 - 70 in the individuals so competition was tough! Nicole was riding Lucy this year and had a super show keeping consistent throughout. They were placed in two classes and are developing a lovely partnership. Alice and Catherine shared rides on Hobby and Biscuit and between them collected some very nice rounds. Biscuit proved very careful and Hobby if he gets it right get the places but being an event horse doesn't have quite the same style as the showjumpers! Daisy had a great show with Ella, not having a pole down the whole show. With so many double clears it seems Daisy has mastered her breathing this year and also made a great comeback after two knee operations! Anna on her first season with Storm also had a brilliant show. He is a very sharp ride and they have just started to gel. They had lots of consistent rounds but their finale was representing the Scottish Amateur Team who finished first, winning the championships. We had to be a bit disloyal and cheered hard that day! Shelley and Catherine once again helped me with keeping the show on the road and best of luck Shelley with the arrival of Jack! You look fabulously pregnant and fit, and Jack has been a very well trained baby in waiting!!........since writing Jack has arrived 9.9lb and mum and baby both doing very well. Results Storm - Anna 1st team amateur champs Hobby - Cath 11th individual and 3rd team event Biscuit - Alice 3rd team event Lucy - Nicole 8th and 9th individuals |
